Irene Civera

“Atuvera aims to go further, to convey values, a way of life, and a complete essence.”

Atuvera is Irene Civera's own label, named by folding her surname into her love of Spanish folklore. She is from Valencia, and she started the project during two years in Barcelona while working for La Manso, which is why the brand says it was born between the two cities. She founded it in 2024 and showed the first collection, The Roots, in April 2025. Since then each release has arrived with a name of its own, Spanish Summer, College Dropout, Linger, and she designs the pop-up stands they are shown on herself.

I have three questions for you, and something in return.

Three questions.

The address printed on the back

Atuvera puts out small collections rather than seasons, shot on location in a family country house in Jaén, a hotel suite in Sitges. Irene Civera started the label in 2024, between Valencia and Barcelona, while working at La Manso.

On the back of one off-white t-shirt, inside a ring of looping script, are three days and a street. 3 to 5 October, 6 Rue de la Corderie, 75003 Paris. That was Atuvera's first Paris Fashion Week, at a pop-up that Spain Gallery ran in the Marais for more than twenty emerging Spanish labels.

The ring of script names a Paris street and three days in October.

Writing itself onto the clothes is a habit here. A ribbed longsleeve carries IMAGINA ESTAR A MI VERA across the chest, imagine being by my side. The dresses are Azahar and Luna, the shorts Campo, the shirts Paseo and Orilla. The brand name works the same way, part surname, part folklore.

The care labels are plainer. Crinkled cotton gauze for the summer shirts. Sandwashed cupro for a mini dress that opens at the back, ramie for another whose pleated satin hem unbuttons and comes away. Denim out of Japan, cut into the Campo shorts. Every product page ends on the same three words, made in Spain.

The newest top is olive cotton, left raw at the sides. Its back is open, and the cords that cross it are threaded by hand with small coloured beads.

Cords strung with coloured beads, hanging down the open back.

The shoots follow the same logic as the names. A tiled terrace with the shutters open. Turó Park in Barcelona, which the brand calls one of its most meaningful locations. Rolls of film in Valencia, black and white and colour.

Drinking from a cup on a tiled terrace, the green shutters open behind.

A t-shirt that still carries the weekend it was printed for.
