So each one asks three short questions of their own — how you use the piece, what nearly stopped you, sometimes how you'd like it made. Answer them and the maker thanks you with a lower price. It stays yours for that brand, and it exists nowhere else.

You complete the order on the brand's own shop, at their studio's pace. ledge sends you there with your price applied; the brand makes it, ships it, and takes care of you from then on. The relationship stays with the people building the brand.
