HeritageModa's founder grew up in Uttarakhand, in the Indian Himalaya. She studied computer science engineering, later added an MBA and spent ten years working in Bangalore. By her own account she built a career in corporate technology, leading large digital transformation projects. For herself she prefers to buy things made by hand, in clothing as much as for the home. She started the label in 2020, alongside a corporate job. Since around 2023 she has lived in Germany, and today she runs HeritageModa from Ratingen.
