Aenaon is what one woman makes alone at a bench in Thessaloniki: every ring, earring, necklace and bracelet is bent, set and finished in the same pair of hands, hers, before it ever reaches a shop in Greece or further afield. Afroditi Goula built the label on around 35 years at that bench, moving between sterling silver, oxidised silver and 14 karat gold, diamonds and coloured stones, all cut and set by no one but her. Since 1985, her work has been exhibited in Greece as well as Munich and New York. In 2005, she also co-founded the Jewelry Art Workers collective.
