Pedro Trajano

By his own account, the brands Pedro Trajano was watching each picked one thing, sustainability or inclusivity, and nothing would change unless someone tried to do both. Pitod is that attempt: genderless clothing and accessories, cut in sizes XXS to 5XL, each piece produced only once it has been ordered. He designs everything himself and works alone; the making he places with an outside factory. Before this he spent over a decade inside the fashion industry, on the commercial and finance side rather than as a designer. He taught himself the rest.

I have three questions for you, and something in return.

Three questions.

Drawing came back when the label needed prints

Nothing at Pitod exists until someone orders it. The label makes genderless clothing and accessories, and one person designs all of it. Pedro Trajano works from London, and an outside partner factory makes the garments for him.

A flamingo on a white t-shirt. A skull on a black one, a bee on navy. The prints are Pedro Trajano's own drawings. He drew as a child, never clothes, and as life went on, he says, the drawing simply stopped. It came back when this label needed prints. In August 2026 the catalogue held 140 products, 58 of them t-shirts and 34 hoodies, the rest sweatshirts, polos, hats, shorts, joggers and tote bags; 121 of the 140 are listed as genderless apparel.

Printing and embroidery in the UK

Pedro Trajano designs in London. The garments are made for him by an outside partner factory, and the printing and the embroidery are finished in the UK. The brand puts it plainly on its own site: everything is made in minimal quantities, only after an order comes in. The absence of seasons is deliberate. Seasons, as he tells it, push a label into over production and over consumption, and the made to order model is one he built from scratch, because it is not something the fashion industry does or wants to do. The company has been a certified B Corp since 2023, and it sits on the Living Wage Foundation's accredited register.

On these black shorts the P is embroidered, not printed.

Genderless fashion is about creating garments that anyone, regardless of their gender identity, can feel comfortable wearing.

The logo redrawn in foliage

The base cloth is GOTS certified organic cotton, with recycled polyester blended in for the hoodie. That hoodie is built up in small decisions: a double layered hood, set in sleeves, a front pouch pocket, metal eyelets, a half moon detail at the back neck and the logo on both sleeves. It runs slightly oversized, and the brand tells anyone who wants a slimmer line to size down. On the Rainforest Pitod Hoodie the logo itself changes. The same mark is redrawn in woodland textures and foliage, made with Rainforest Foundation UK. The foundation, as he describes it, works with the communities living inside the forests and looks after the whole ecosystem, not the trees alone. The collaboration has its own page on the site, and a small family of pieces has grown around it, a Rainforest t-shirt and a Rainforest Community t-shirt.

The whole range is vegan, with no animal material in any piece.
