Irene Peukes spent years designing footwear at Camper before the shoe that would define Pla: one sewn from a single unbroken braid of jute. She runs the label from Sineu, in the flat inland heart of Mallorca, and still travels to Guatemala herself to choose the cotton her dresses and blouses are woven from.
